Parents in Nebraska have banded together in a group, Our Children Our School, to advocate on behalf of children who struggle in traditional learning environments and face the prospect that they may not graduate. These parents want more input in the education their children receive.
“I feel it’s important for us to unify the voice of the parent,”Clarice Jackson, the parent who founded the group, told KETV. “I think parents have been speaking and they’ve been speaking in silos, so even though they’re being heard, the sound is not loud enough.”
